Project vision

The set shows the garden of an upscale residence, from the bougainvillea-covered access wall to a stone grotto with a devotional niche at the back of the property. A pergola-covered veranda and an interior room overlooking a vertical garden complete the sequence.

Materials and atmosphere

Irregular stone clads the grotto and its benches, timber structures the access pergola and the veranda roof, and lavender lines the stone elements. Pink and white flowering trees and an expansive lawn set the tone of the landscaping.

Indoor–outdoor relationship

A double-height interior room, with an exposed-brick staircase, opens through an iron-and-glass frame onto a garden with a mass of blue hydrangeas and green walls, making the garden visible from inside the house.

Experience of the spaces

The sequence alternates between contemplative areas — the grotto with its devotional niche — and lounge areas, such as the pergola-covered veranda with a wicker chair and the lawn lined by flowering beds and tree-lined walkways.
