Project vision

The project deals with the landscaping of a home set on a sloping plot, where stairways and stone paths overcome the level changes between the terraces. The set is shown by day and at night, with garden lighting.

Visual language

The planting is worked in layers, mixing grasses, agaves and purple foliage in dense beds. A slatted pergola and rows of ball-shaped standard trees bring rhythm and geometry to an otherwise naturalistic scheme.

Materials and atmosphere

Dark walls and tall hedges give a backdrop to the masses of foliage, while the timber deck and bench warm the sitting areas. At night, recessed lighting picks out the stairs and the tree canopies.

Experience of the spaces

The routes lead from a shaded daybed up to the higher terraces, creating resting points along the climb. Each level frames a different view of the garden and the house.
